TeAm AnandTech DC

TeAm AnandTech members have joined the computational power of everything from 386's to eight-way Xeons to form one of the world's most powerful virtual supercomputers. We're working on a variety of public distributed-computing challenges, and we welcome you to download one of the clients and give it a try! Info on project TA's active in can be viewed here.

"Distributed computing" allows computers to solve large-scale computational problems together. The distributed-computing clients are designed to run as Taskbar icons, screensavers and background applications, making them a no-hassle way to participate. The clients download work units, process them in the background during the computer's idle time, and send them in when they're completed.

Participants get daily and real-time statistics updates on their computers' output, and the TeAm statistics are worth checking too! The AnandTech TeAm vies with powerful rival teams in all of the major projects we're doing, so new TeAmmates are always welcome!

TAS - TeAm AnandTech's Rally TeAm

TAS is short for TeAm AnandTech Sentinel and consists of members from many different projects. We are a Rally TeAm that moves between projects, participating in each for 4 weeks at a time. After starting each new project, the next upcoming project is voted for by TAS members and added to the Rally Schedule. The main goals of TAS is to:

- Increase TeAm AnandTech's participation and production in projects.
- Introduce people to projects they're no so familiar with.
- Have LOTS of fun!
- Establish TeAm AnandTech as a major player in all that is DC.

Although the RallyTeAm is known as "TA Sentinel", members crunch under their own individual names. We hope to keep this as exciting as possible and to bring the TeAm even closer together! This can only be accomplished if there's enough interest and support, so plz visit the TAS website and forum and sign up!
